Cleavers (Galium aparine) is a mild, leafy botanical traditionally recognized for its distinctive clinging texture and fresh, green aroma. Also known as catchweed bedstraw, clivers, sticky willy, and Velcro plant, this creeping member of the madder family has been gathered for generations as a classic spring herb. Its naturally soft, fibrous structure makes it a versatile ingredient for teas, infusions, and general herbal preparations.
Commonly used in traditional herbal practices, cleavers is valued for its gentle nature and compatibility with seasonal wellness routines. In modern herbal crafting, it is often incorporated into herbal teas, tincture blends, tonics, and topical formulations. Thanks to its naturally astringent plant profile, cleavers is also a popular addition to skin‑focused botanical products.
Our cleavers herb is carefully selected, dried, and cut to maintain its natural character—ideal for home herbalists, crafters, and those who appreciate classic wild botanicals.
When brewed has a slightly bitter taste.
